The important role of the conditioner in the poultry feed pellet making machine
- Jan 12, 2019 -

Quenching and tempering is a processing procedure for hydrothermal treatment of powdered materials before granulation of feed, which plays an important role in the overall quality of feed. As the market demands for the quality of poultry feeds, various feed processing companies are paying more and more attention to the quenching and tempering process in poultry feed granulators.

The conditioner is used in the poultry feed pellet making machine to cure the powdered material. Most poultry have a low ability to digest starch, but can digest ripe starch to a large extent. The conditioner adjusts the gelatinization degree of the starch under the action of water heat, and also promotes the thermal denaturation of the protein in the material. Denatured proteins are easily digested, thereby increasing the digestion efficiency of the pellet feed.

At the same time, the powder material can be sterilized to improve the hygiene level of the feed. The method of sterilizing the material by the conditioner is lower in cost, pollution-free and drug-free than the drug prevention. Advantages such as side effects; quenching and tempering equipment can significantly improve the water resistance of poultry feed, and effectively bond other surrounding components through the hydrothermal action of steam during quenching and tempering.

Generally, the common poultry feed granulator can use a single-axis pulp-leaf conditioner to ensure the quenching and tempering time of about 30 seconds, and the starch gelatinization degree can reach about 20%, which basically meets the requirements of the ordinary poultry feed granulator.
